Two Grand Prairie residents died in a head-on collision in Arkansas

HUNTSVILLE, Ark. -- Two Grand Prairie residents died in a head-on collision Thursday, according to authorities.

Jerry D. Lewis, 61, was driving southbound on State Highway 23, about 1.7 miles south of Huntsville, when his 2009 Ford crossed the center line and collided with a 2004 Mazda traveling northbound, police said.

Lewis and a passenger in his vehicle, Judy Bloyed, 55, also of Grand Prairie, died in the crash, an accident report said.

Patsy Lewis, 60, of Grand Prairie, and Rebecca Varner, 45, and Larry Varner, 50, both of Huntsville, Ark., were taken to Washington Regional Springdale Center for Health with unknown injuries.
