EAGLE MOUNTAIN LAKE — Officials have released the name of the man who died early Monday evening in Eagle Mountain Lake.

John Dill, 64, of Fort Worth was identified by the Tarrant County medical examiner's office.

Dill was reported missing by his wife, who asked neighbors to help find him, said Chad Lorance, a spokesman for the Tarrant Regional Water District.

A neighbor found the man in the water and Fort Worth police were summoned to help pull him ashore, Lorance said.

The time of death was 6:53 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.

The discovery was made in the boat slip area of The Landing, a marina on Eagle Mountain Lake, which is near the man's home address, the medical examiner reported.

The office also stated that Dill died in the water, but an exact cause of death had not yet been listed Tuesday morning.
