BEDFORD – A Fort Worth man remained in jail Wednesday, accused of fighting with customers at a bar and stabbing one of the patrons, police said.
The customer was stabbed several times, but he did not suffer any life-threatening injuries, police said Wednesday.Police arrested Lucas Logue, 28, of Fort Worth, on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He’s accused of pulling out a knife and stabbing the 28-year-old customer.Patrol officers also arrested Jemi Smith, 26, on suspicion of disorderly conduct.Logue remained in jail Wednesday on $25,000 bail while Smith has been released after he plead guilty to the Class C misdemeanor charge.The incident happened about 1:18 a.m. Tuesday at Boomer Jack’s Grill and Bar, 2300 Airport Freeway.At some point early Tuesday, Logue and Smith were asked to leave the bar because they were loud and disruptive, police said Wednesday.As they were being escorted out, they got into a verbal altercation with customers, police said. A few customers followed them out, police said.A fight broke out as the men and the customers reached a sidewalk, police said.When police arrived, Smith and Logue were located near the bar.DOMINGO RAMIREZ JR., 817-390-7763
