The wife of a stabbing victim who died after wrecking his vehicle four blocks from their Fort Worth home late Wednesday has admitted to stabbing her husband, officials said Friday.

Dina Jackson was arrested in New Mexico on a murder warrant issued in the case Friday. She remained in custody Saturday in lieu of $750,000 bail.

Dina Jackson had reported her husband, 37-year-old Michael Jackson, missing Thursday.

Jackson told Fort Worth police, in making her report, that she had last seen her husband about 5 p.m. Wednesday.

But police said Saturday that Jackson has since admitted to homicide Detective Michel Carroll that she stabbed her husband at their residence in the 7400 block of Trimble Drive, just four blocks from where Michael Jackson crashed his pickup about 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Emergency crews responding to the wreck discovered stab wounds on Michael Jackson’s body. Jackson was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital where he died less than an hour later.

Police had executed a search warrant at the Jackson home Thursday.
