Soldier from Euless dies in Iraq
STAR-TELEGRAM
A 20-year-old soldier from Euless died in Iraq on Sunday, according to an announcement Tuesday by the Defense Department.
Pvt. Sean P. McCune, assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, died in Samarra of "injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident," according to the military.
Further details were not immediately released by DOD, which says circumstances surrounding the death are under investigation.
McCune’s death is the first from Tarrant County this year.
