An 11-year-old girl and her father who were found dead Sunday morning in an east Fort Worth home were killed in a murder-suicide, the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office has determined.
Angela Flores, 11, died of a gunshot wound to the head, and her death has been ruled a homicide. Her father, Jorge Flores, 37, died of a gunshot wound to the head that was the result of a suicide, the medical examiner’s office reported Monday night.
The child’s mother and other relatives found the bodies in a bedroom, in the 3600 block of Mountcastle Drive. The mother and father had recently separated, and the girl was visiting her father for the weekend, police said. Gordon Dickson
