Cliburn podcast: Sizing up the semifinals

Listen in as some of the Star-Telegram team talks about the piano competition so far and who may advance from the prelims.

After nearly a week and 60 piano recitals, the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition at Bass Hall will be shifting its focus to who among the 30 young competitors will advance to the semifinals.

Our Cliburn team has been at the Hall since the opening note, and in this podcast Cliburn editor Stephanie Allmon and reporters Tim Madigan and Andrew Marton, share their thoughts on how this year's Cliburn stacks up against past competitions. And if any of the performers have flashed that elusive star quality yet.

Listen in on their conversation below and check for live coverage of the competition.
