School board members postponed a vote Tuesday night on whether to give Superintendent Walter Dansby a contract extension and a $10,000 bonus.
No action was taken on the matter at Tuesday night’s regular board meeting, a school official said Wednesday.
Dansby is eligible for a $10,000 annual bonus under his contract. With base pay of $338,817, which excludes fringe and health benefits, he is among the highest-paid superintendents in the state and among the highest-paid public officials in Tarrant County.
His contract expires Aug. 31, 2016.
The superintendent’s annual performance evaluation began Feb. 18. The board also tabled a vote on his contract March 25 after a five-hour closed session.
The board is expected to meet again Tuesday.
