Motorcyclist killed on Fort Worth highway

A 23-year-old Alvarado motorcyclist was killed early Sunday on the North Freeway in Fort Worth, police said.

A motorcyclist was killed early Sunday on the North Freeway when his vehicle slammed into the back of a semi-tractor, police said Monday.

The victim was identified as Jose Tarin, 23, of Alvarado, who was pronounced dead at 12:50 a.m. Sunday in the 11000 block of the North Freeway, southbound lanes.

Police responded to a major accident call about 12:04 a.m. Sunday.

Officers determined that a motorcyclist ran his vehicle into the back of a semi-tractor as both vehicles were southbound on the freeway. Police noted that the truck did not have a trailer on it.

Police did not release any information on what caused the motorcycle to slam into the semi-tractor.

No one else was reported injured in the crash.
