Police searched Wednesday for a motorist and a passenger who fled the scene of a wreck that left three other people injured.

The three men were taken to a hospital in stable condition, police Capt. Scott Conn said in an email.

The wreck occurred about 2:30 a.m. at West Biddison and Hemphill streets when a Chevrolet pickup collided with an Isuzu Trooper.

Police responding to the call found the three injured men in the truck, police said.

“There were no occupants in the Isuzu,” Conn said.

Police say they believe that the driver and the passenger ran away. Investigators had not determined what caused the accident.
