An 82-year-old Burleson woman was killed Sunday morning after police say she collided head-on with another vehicle while driving the wrong way.

The wreck occurred about 11 a.m. at W. Rendon Crowley Road and the South Interstate 35W Freeway.

Witnesses told police that Jackie Wilson was driving in a very erratic manner and having trouble staying in a single lane at a constant speed as she traveled west in the 1100 block of E. Rendon Crowley Road.

“The Buick’s windows were also fogged up to the point that witnesses could not see in the car.” Fort Worth police spokeswoman Sharron Neal said in an email.

The witness told police that after they passed the Buick, the Buick sped up and moved into the eastbound lanes against traffic, where it struck head-on an eastbound Chevrolet Suburban.

Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Suburban’s driver was injured in the wreck and taken to a local hospital, Neal said.
