Man walking on Interstate 30 in Arlington killed, police say

A man walking on Interstate 30 in Arlington was killed about midnight Tuesday when he was hit by a vehicle, police said.

The motorist stopped and called 911 at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday.

The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified the man as 24-year-old Jay Wolf. No town of residence was listed.

Wolf was pronounced dead at the scene in the 2300 block of Tom Landry Freeway (East Interstate 30).

He was walking in westbound lanes, an Arlington police spokesman said. Investigators were trying to determine why he was on the freeway.
