Frisco couple shot to death, son arrested

A 16-year-old Frisco boy faces charges in the shooting deaths of his parents who were found dead in their home early Monday.

A 16-year-old teenager accused of killing his parents at their Frisco home was in the Collin County Juvenile Detention Center in McKinney Monday evening facing two counts of delinquent conduct-murder, Frisco police said in a news release.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired about 2 a.m. Monday in the 12400 block of Shepherds Hill Lane. Inside they found the teen’s 48-year-old father and 49-year-old mother fatally shot. The teen was arrested at the scene.

Police did not release information about a possible motive.

The Star-Telegram usually does not identify juvenile defendants and in this case is not naming the parents to avoid identifying the teen.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Frisco police at 972-292-6010.
