Police are looking for information about whoever burned six U.S. flags on the west side of Weatherford.
The flags typically were hanging on porches or flagpoles. Police received the first reports Friday, said Weatherford police Capt. Greg Lance, and by Monday morning had three more.
Police said those responsible could face charges of destruction of a flag, a Class A misdemeanor, and arson, a second-degree felony.
“Some of the victims are taking this very personally,” Lance said.
The flag remnants have been left on the property.
Anyone with information about the flag-burning in Weatherford should call police at 817-598-4310 or call Parker County Crimestoppers at 817-599-5555.
