A 36-year-old woman was stabbed to death Saturday afternoon in northeast Dallas during a fight with another woman, Dallas police said Sunday.
Police identified the victim as Jeri Anderson of Dallas, who died at Medical City Dallas Hospital.
The suspect, who was booked into the Dallas County Jail early Sunday, is Kreneshia Mashunti Lee, 39, of Dallas.
Dallas patrol officers responded at 5 p.m. Saturday to a report of an injured person at the hospital, 7777 Forest Lane in Dallas.
A witness had driven her to the hospital.
Investigating detectives determined that Anderson and Lee fought in the 9500 block of Forest Lane. Witnesses told detectives that the two got into a fight and that the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed Anderson.
Police did not release information about what started the fight.
Detectives later found Lee, who voluntarily came to the police station.
She was booked into jail on a charge of murder at 3:39 a.m. Sunday, according to Dallas County Jail records. Bail was set at $250,000.
