A 51-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday night in what Arlington police described as a domestic “situation.”
Vance Gardner of Arlington was pronounced dead at 11:16 p.m. Sunday at Arlington Memorial Hospital, the Tarrant County medical examiner reported.
Gardner was shot in the chest, and his death was a homicide, the medical examiner ruled.
Officers responded about 10 p.m. to a 911 call about a shooting at the Creek at Brookhollow Apartments in the 2300 block of Silverbrook Lane.
A man and woman were in the apartment when Gardner arrived and an argument erupted, Sgt. Jeff Houston, an Arlington police spokesman, said in a news release Monday.
No further information was released and no arrest had been reported by late Monday.
