A 50-year-old Fort Worth man has been sentenced to 75 years in prison without parole for sexually abusing two young sisters.
Michael King was convicted on Tuesday of continuous sexual abuse of children, according to a news release from the Tarrant County district attorney’s office.
King abused the girls, who are related to him, for years, prosecutors said. He gave the girls candy and told them not to tell anyone about the abuse, prosecutors told the jury.
The girls were six and 10 in the summer of 2013 when they told their mother what was happening, the release said.
The mother took her daughters to Fort Worth police, who arrested King in September, the release said.
Jurors deliberated for 24 minutes before convicting King and less than two hours before returning the sentence, the news release said.
