Grand Prairie man killed in one-vehicle crash, police report

A 50-year-old man was killed early Wednesday when his sport utility vehicle crashed into a tree, police reported.
Joseph Vician of Grand Prairie was pronounced dead at 12:43 a.m. at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.
Vician was driving a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder in the 4700 block of Magna Carta Boulevard near Cheshire Way when he crossed oncoming lanes and smashed into a tree, according to a police news release.
Vician, who was alone in the vehicle, was extricated by firefighters.
The accident remains under investigation.
He was the eighth person to die in a traffic-related accident in Grand Prairie this year.
