Reward increased for recovery of stolen Johnson County bulldog puppies

Couple is now offering a $10,000 reward for the recovery of two bulldog puppies stolen from their house near Burleson.

A reward was increased to $10,000 on Tuesdasy for the recovery of two English bulldog puppies stolen this month from a home near Burleson, officials said.

Owners Lucky and Donna Watson raised the reward for 10-month-old Mac and 9-month-old Cowboy, missing since June 7 when burglars took three puppies from the Watson’s residence in the 3700 block of Trails End Road near Burleson.

One puppy, 10-month-old Sky, was found at a Fort Worth park and returned.

Mac and Sky had been scheduled to compete at a show in Denver this month.

Deputies have received dozens of tips, but no one had been arrested as of Tuesday.

Burglars broke into the house while the Watsons were in California selling other puppies.

When their grandson, who was housesitting, woke up the morning of June 7, the puppies, a television and a laptop computer were missing.

The Watsons have raised English bulldogs for 35 years as DoWats Bulldog.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department at 817-556-6060.
