The pickup driver who was killed in a wreck on Thursday at the intersection of John T. White Road and the service road for East Loop 820 has been identified.

James Warner, 74, of Fort Worth died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, the Tarrant County medical examiner reported Monday.

On Thursday, police said they were looking for the driver of a black Lexus who left the scene on foot. It could not be learned on Monday whether a suspect had been identified.

The wreck happened about 6:30 p.m. when the Lexus ran a blinking red light and hit the white pickup driven by Warner, according to reports. The Lexus knocked the pickup into a traffic light pole, police said.

The driver of the Lexus fled the scene, but his female passenger was taken to an area hospital, police said. Her condition was unavailable Monday.
