A Minnesota woman was killed and a Fort Worth man faces charges after a one-vehicle wreck late Saturday in northwest Fort Worth, police said.
The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified the woman as Yen Hoang, 30, of Apple Valley, Minn. A ruling on the manner of death was pending.
Police believe the driver of the car, David Moser, 32, of Fort Worth was intoxicated, according to preliminary police reports. Moser was arrested at 11:53 p.m. Saturday and faces a charge of intoxication manslaughter.
The wreck was reported shortly after 11 p.m. at 5852 Bowman Roberts Road in Fort Worth.
Officers arrived to find the victim inside a 2011 Honda and the driver standing outside the vehicle, police said.
The driver, later identified as Moser, told police that the two had been at a Laos New Year’s party, where he had a beer, according to the police report.
Moser told police that he was driving on Bowman Roberts Road, came upon a sharp curve and lost control of the vehicle. The car flipped over when it left the roadway, according to the police report.
