A motorist killed early Sunday in a traffic wreck near Texas 287 and Interstate 35W has been identified as 29-year-old Agron Pireci, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website.
Pireci, a native of Kosovo who lived in north Fort Worth, was pronounced dead at the scene early Sunday, officials said.
The wreck on an access ramp from Texas 287 to southbound Interstate 35W was reported about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.
Pireci was driving a red Mitsubishi 3000 GT that entered the ramp at high speed and crashed into a barrier, police said. On impact, the motorist was thrown onto the roadway.
Two other people were in the car and one was taken to a local hospital, police said. The condition of that person was not available on Tuesday.
No other vehicles were involved.
Police had not released any information on whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the wreck.
Tarrant County records indicate that Pireci lived in far north Fort Worth. According to his Facebook page, he was a native of Prizren, Kosovo.
