Motorist killed early Sunday in Fort Worth wreck

A driver was killed early Sunday in a one-vehicle wreck near Texas 287 and Interstate 35W, police said

The motorist, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was not identified.

The wreck on an access ramp from Texas 287 to southbound Interstate 35W was reported about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.

A red Mitsubishi 3000 GT entered the ramp at high speed and crashed into a barrier, police said. On impact, the motorist was thrown onto the roadway.

No other vehicles were involved.

Police had not determined whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the wreck.
