FBI trying to identify man in alleged child porn video

Though the video does not link the man to a particular state, officials believe someone may recognize his face or other objects seen in the released images.

The FBI released enhanced photographs Wednesday of a man suspected of sexually exploiting a child. The agency hopes the public can help identify him.

Child porn images and video of the man allegedly engaged in sexual activity with the child came to the attention of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in November 2012.

Though officials have no information linking the man to a particular state or region, officials believe that the images released Wednesday contain other clues that could lead to his identification.

In the background of the images, there is a blue sofa chair with a picture hanging on a wall. The man is wearing wire-framed glasses and a burgundy T-shirt with what appears to be a shark logo on his left side.

The man, nicknamed John Doe 28 by the FBI, is described as Caucasian, possibly in his 30s or 40s, with a receding hairline. Anyone with information about his identity is asked to call the FBI’s toll-free tip line at 800-CALL-FBI (800-225-5324) or submit a tip online at https://tips.fbi.gov.
