A shoe store owner is offering a $10,000 reward to anyone who can help identify the culprit who killed a clerk during a robbery Tuesday in south Arlington.
Police found Randy Pacheco, 22, dead in the back of the Red Wing Shoes store in the 3100 block of South Cooper Street.
“This tragedy is heartbreaking and senseless,” Mark Urdahl, executive vice president of Red Wing Shoe Co. said in a news release Thursday. “We hope people with information about who did this will contact the Arlington Police Department.”
Detectives released a video Wednesday of the suspect walking through the store holding a gun. The suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatsuit and a mask, and was being followed by a small black-and-white dog.
Police said someone who knows the suspect might recognize the style of movement or the clothing. The video has been posted on the Arlington police YouTube page at www.youtube.com/user/arlingtonpolicemedia.
Police are also searching for the driver of a late 1990s or early 2000s light-colored Toyota Tacoma pickup with a lift and oversize tires that was seen in the area.
