Pedestrian killed while crossing Arlington street

A woman dies from injuries suffered while crossing South Cooper Street this week.

Police are investigating the death of a woman who was struck by a pickup while walking across a road Wednesday.

Officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of South Cooper Street about 6 p.m., according to a news release from the Arlington Police Department.

Police found that a woman had been struck after walking in front of a southbound Ford F-150, the release said.

She was taken by ambulance to Medical Center of Arlington and died that night, the release said. Authorities are awaiting information from the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office before identifying the victim.
