Shooting at Arlington party leaves one dead

Police continued their search for a gunman who fatally shot a man Saturday night.

A man died Sunday morning at an Arlington hospital after he was shot at a house where several people had been attending a party, Arlington police said Sunday.

The victim, whom authorities had not identified, was in his 20s. He died at about 4:30 a.m. Sunday at Medical Center of Arlington, Arlington police said.

Officers responded to a shooting call about 11:50 p.m. Saturday in the 6300 block of Brookcrest Drive in Arlington.

When they arrived, police found a large crowd at the residence and the shooting victim, who was taken to the Arlington hospital.

No other injuries were reported.

Arlington detectives continued Sunday to interview numerous witnesses.
