Speed appears to be a factor in a rollover wreck Tuesday night that killed the male driver and injured his female passenger, police said.
The wreck occurred about 11:15 p.m. on westbound Interstate 30 near Bridgewood Drive.
Sharron Neal, a police spokeswoman, said a Nissan 350Z was traveling at high speed when the driver lost control and the car went off the roadway.
“The vehicle rolled before coming to a stop upside down underneath the bridge at Bridgewood,” Neal said in an email.
The driver, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in unknown condition.
The traffic investigation unit is investigating, Neal said.
