A man who refused to hand over his property to two robbers was shot Sunday evening outside of the Starplex Cinema, authorities said.

The 30-year-old man, who was not identified, was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Officers responded to a shooting call shortly after 8:30 p.m. Sunday at 6330 Hulen Bend Boulevard.

Investigators determined that two men approached the victim when one of the suspects pulled out a gun. The suspects demanded the victim’s property, but the victim refused and was shot.

No arrests have been made.
