A motorist was killed Sunday morning when she was thrown out of her vehicle as it rolled down an embankment at Interstate 20 and Texas 360 in Arlington, police said.

The woman, whom authorities did not identify, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Arlington police responded to a call of a major accident at 5:45 a.m. Sunday at the two major highways.

Investigators believe that the woman was driving from the eastbound ramp of Interstate 20 to the northbound lanes of Texas 360 when she lost control. She was ejected as the vehicle rolled down an embankment and was hit by another vehicle.

The driver of the second vehicle was not injured, police said.

Investigators have not determined what caused the woman to lose control of her vehicle.
