Fort Worth off-duty officer injured in domestic call near mall

An off-duty Fort Worth officer was injured as he tasered an armed suspect near La Gran Plaza Mall, police said.
The officer, who was not identified, suffered cuts over one eye during the foot pursuit and arrest of the suspect.
The suspect and the officer were treated at the scene.
The incident was reported shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday at the mall at 4200 South Freeway.
The officer in uniform and working security at the mall responded to a call of a suspect pulling a knife on someone.
As the officer tried to detain him, the suspect ran away. The officer pursued him and arrested him a short time later. Details of the fracas were not immediately disclused.
