Police arrested an employee at a Wal-Mart cash office Tuesday who is accused of stealing at least $200,000 from the retail giant.
Nacina Marie Walker, 50, is accused of stealing the money over a period of about 18 months in 2013 and 2014. She has been a Wal-Mart employee for more than 30 years.
Police said a manager determined that between Aug. 22, 2014 and Oct. 12, 2014, the suspect took $71,073 in cash and another $14,887 in money orders from the company's Decatur office.
The manager said they were also able to determine Walker had stolen another $126,142 in cash, though the warrant does not make it clear when that was allegedly pilfered. A Decatur police public information officer said police believe the thefts began in January 2013. Read the rest of the story here, at WFAA.com
