Jurors began hearing testimony Tuesday to determine the punishment for a man who recently pleaded guilty to recklessly causing the death of a 22-year-old woman by throwing a caulk gun toward her, striking her in the head.
On Sunday, May 1, two men approached the woman at a gas pump, one on the driver’s side and the other on the passenger side. One man pointed a semi-automatic gun at her and then both jumped in her blue 2014 Mercedes GLK350 and drove off from the Quick Trip in the 4700 block of South R.L. Thornton Freeway in Dallas. On Thursday at about 7 p.m., a gunman enter the cell phone store at 2614 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Dallas and tried to rob it. He ordered customers to get down on the floor, but an employee in the back office heard the demands, grabbed a gun and shot the suspect, who was later identified at Matthew Wayne Richardson. He died on Friday afternoon. Police are continue to interview witnesses and the employee who pulled the trigger.
