Rio Vista Eagles (1-2) at Brock Eagles (3-0)
▪ When: 7:30 p.m. Friday
▪ Key players: Rio Vista - TE Austin Hodshire, DB Grant Albright. Brock - OL/DT Tucker Sargent, WR/DB Collin Miller.
▪ Outlook: Brock is one of the state's top teams on both offense and defense, having outscored its three opponents 179-7, including 65-0 over Rice last week. They've won a dozen straight in the regular season, and it's not likely Rio Vista will be able to do much to halt that run. The visiting Eagles are coming off a 41-20 win over Dublin and are only one touchdown away from being 2-1 this season (they lost 32-26 to Santo in Week 2). Rio Vista last had a winning season in 2000, going 7-3, and has had seven one-win seasons since. While Brock is a serious contender for a state championship in only its second full season, Rio Vista has one playoff appearance since 1967, losing in bidistrict in 1988.
