Victory Baptist Academy in Weatherford has announced open enrollment to the public for the 2014-15 school year.
Parents may enroll their students at any time, and those who apply before April 1 will receive a 25 percent discount on the application fee.
“Open enrollment is an exciting time on campus because we get to share the mission of our school with prospective families,” said VBA administrator Matt Ticzkus. “We count it an honor to partner with parents in raising up the next generation of servant-leaders who are committed to unashamedly following Christ.”
Victory Baptist Academy is a ministry of Victory Baptist Church and is dedicated to providing high-quality education in a Christ-centered atmosphere. Since the school opened in 2007, its student body has grown by more than 150 percent and now includes a full class at every grade level from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. VBA completed its accreditation process during the 2012-13 school year and is fully accredited through the American Association of Christian Schools.
Never miss a local story.
“Our recent accreditation evidences our commitment to continuous improvement and academic rigor,” Ticzkus said. “We are excited about what the future holds for Victory Baptist Academy, and we would love to explore how our school could serve your family for the upcoming school year.”
Half-day and full-day pre-K classes are available to students turning 4 on/or before Sept. 1. To enroll in kindergarten, students must be 5 by Sept. 1.
Beginning at the elementary level, VBA students have multiple opportunities to take part in extracurriculars such as fine arts and athletics. Both elementary and secondary students have the opportunity to play in the orchestra, take private lessons in strings, woodwinds and piano, and showcase what they learn in performances and competitions.
Once the student reaches high school, they can choose from foreign language electives such as Chinese, French, Latin, German and Spanish.
Athletic opportunities begin in fourth grade, when elementary students can take part in team events such as basketball and soccer. Junior high and high school students are encouraged to take part in cross country (in which the Lady Patriots hold the current state title), tennis, track and field, boys and girls basketball and girls volleyball.
VBA also offers before- and after-school care.
