Early voting begins Feb. 20 and Parker County’s elections office is firing on all cylinders with preparations and providing information to the public.
With the recent deadline for registering to vote in the upcoming primaries having passed, Parker County now has 87,566 registered voters, according to Elections Administrator Don Markum.
Sample ballots and early voting locations can be found at the election website https://www.parkercountytx.com/118/Elections.
"Our Elections Administrator and his staff have done a good job of making available all the information that the voters need," Parker County Judge Mark Riley said. "You can go to their site, which is part of our new website redesign, and find the locations for early voting and voting on Election Day. We have had numerous people request to see a sample ballot, so we have those published on the site as well."
Markum said so far his office has sent out 743 ballots by mail.
"We also want to remind everyone that this is a primary election so voters must pick a party’s primary to vote in," he said. "You can vote at any early voting site or any site on Election Day. I would like to encourage everyone to vote early to avoid long lines on Election Day."
