Somebody’s holiday is about to get a little brighter.
According to the Texas Lottery Commission, a winning ticket has been purchased in Parker County, and it’s worth $5.5 million.
The winning ticket was sold at the Peaster Grocery and Grill, 6321 Farm Road 920. No one has come forward yet to claim the prize.
The winning Lotto Texas numbers for Dec. 16 were: 5-10-16-22-26-46. The $5.5 million jackpot had a cash value option of $3.86 million at the time of purchase. The qualifying retailer will receive a bonus of $55,000.
Parker County has had a big winner before. Weatherford resident Roy Gibson produced a ticket matching all six numbers from a July 6, 2016, drawing.
He selected the cash value payout, receiving $4.6 million of the $6 million jackpot.
Lottery officials are not able to release more information about Gibson or his claim because he requested minimal publicity, said Kelly Cripe, a lottery spokeswoman.
Gibson’s ticket was sold at Food Mart, 1405 S. Main St. in Weatherford, according to the Lottery Commission.
