Women’s Business Alliance will hold their annual Nonprofit Showcase at the July 13 monthly chamber luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at New River Fellowship, 3252 E. I-20 Service Road S., Hudson Oaks.
The Showcase has become a favorite for the 501(c)3 industry in Parker County. This year, the charities will place all their promotional information in a bag that will be distributed to each attendee. The special keynote speaker for the luncheon will be Debra Smith, Co-Owner, President and General Manager of Pulliam Pools. Smith is a constant supporter of charities and nonprofits. She will speak on the importance of community involvement in offering helping hands to these organizations.
Smith has received a number of accolades in her career; she was the first woman in the world to earn a "Certified Building Professional" certification from the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals. She received the "Woman of the Year" award from the East Parker County Chamber of Commerce, the Texas Moslah Shriners organization awarded Smith with the "C. Victor Thornton Humanitarian Award," Weatherford Chamber presented Smith with the International Athena Award and most recently, she was named one of the Top 20 Women to get to know in Tarrant County by the Fort Worth Business Press.
