Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Parker County Extension Education Association will host the 15th Annual Home for the Holidays, on Thurs., Nov. 12, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The popular event will take place at Couts Memorial United Methodist Church, located in Weatherford at 802 North Elm Street.
Home for the Holidays is a fun event that is for the general public and will help you to plan and prepare for the holiday season. There will be special presentations and demonstrations by area speakers, Extension Education Club members and Parker County Extension Agents and Assistants. Some of the demonstrations will include: Decorating on a Budget, Gifts in a Cup, Gift Ideas, and more. Shelby Willis, licensed psychologist will speak on Dealing with Depression through the Holidays. A special feature will be entertainment by Couts Christian Academy.
Home for the Holidays will include a light lunch including soup, sandwiches, and desserts. There will be recipe books, a raffle table, gift table and silent auction, door prizes and much more.
The cost to attend will be $12 per person. This will include lunch, program materials and recipes.
