Meet Scout, a sweet and bright boy who loves people of all ages; he never meets a stranger and will make instant friends with you. He's a 1-year old Border Collie mix that we rescued from the animal shelter. He's full grown at about 45 pounds. He loves playing chase and tug-o-war with his foster siblings and will leave the cats alone. He rides well in the car, likes to watch the horses but will not go into the pen. He has a strong desire to exercise his mind and body, so he'll need plenty of activities to keep his mind stimulated. He is leash trained, house trained and sleeps in a kennel at night.
Scout would be best suited for a family familiar with the energy level of the Border Collie breed. Scout is looking for a home with a large fenced yard with plenty of room to run and exercise in. He would love to have older kids to play with and maybe a doggy playmate close to his size and energy level. He would love to go on long walks with his family or take part in other outdoor activities.
Scout is neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, current on all age appropriate vaccinations, and is on flea and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is only $75. Donations help us to keep our adoption fees low and allows us to help more animals in need.
You can meet our adoptable kitties at the Weatherford Petsmart seven days a week. We'll have our adoptable dogs at the Weatherford Iron Skillet (2001 Santa Fe Drive) on Saturday, Nov. 7, for an adoption event and fundraiser from 1pm to 4pm. Please stop by and meet us and enjoy the Classic Car Show!
Our all-volunteer group rescues and adopts out hundreds of homeless pets each year. Please visit our website for more information: www.parkerpaws.org and support our life-saving mission with a tax-deductible donation today.
