Every two minutes, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, there is strong evidence that an individual’s risk of developing cancer can be substantially reduced by health behavior, such as exercising, maintaining a healthy BMI, and drinking less alcohol.
Join us as Dr. Amelia Gunter, board-certified General Surgeon by the American Board of Surgery, discusses the ways you can reduce your risk of breast cancer. Dr. Gunter, a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, knew she wanted to become a breast surgeon after her mother’s experience with breast cancer.
The free workshop will be at North Side Baptist Church on Thurs., June 15 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship room located 910 N. Main Street in Weatherford. Dinner is provided, and registration is required. To learn more information or to reserve your spot today, please call 682-582-1753 or visit WeatherfordRegional.com/HealthyWoman.
