PGA and LPGA to host junior golf programs
PGA and LPGA professionals in the DFW area are hosting junior golf programs to introduce young people to to the sport of golf in a group setting this summer.
According to a news release, “The PGA of America promotes the month of July as 'Family Golf Month' – a time to spend sunny days out on the course together as a family – though courses host junior programs year-round. Every family member – young and old – can participate and receive the benefits a round of golf provides, including fresh air and beautiful outdoor scenery as well as a healthy dose of exercise.”
Grapevine Golf Course (Grapevine)
Junior Golf Camp (ages 7-16)
Aug. 4-8: Monday, Wednesday-Friday from 9 – 11 a.m.
Bridlewood Golf Club (Flower Mound)
Junior Golf Camp (ages 6-16)
Aug. 4-7: Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. – noon OR 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Aug. 11-14: Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. – noon OR 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Aug. 18-21: Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. – noon OR 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
North Texas Golf Center (Dallas)
Half Day Junior Golf Camp (ages 7-17)
Aug. 4-8: Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Aug. 11-15: Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Mini Junior Golf Camp (ages 7-15)
Aug. 18-20: Monday-Wednesday from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Sherrill Park Golf Course (Richardson)
Junior Golf Camp (ages 6-14)
Aug. 4-8: Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Aug. 11-15: Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Stewart Peninsula Golf Course (The Colony)
Junior Golf Camp (all ages)
Aug. 4-6: Monday-Wednesday from 8 – 11 a.m.
The Golf Club of Dallas (Dallas)
Junior Golf Camp (ages 6-18)
Aug. 5-8: Tuesday-Friday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Open tryouts date set
The open tryouts date for the AT&T League fall hockey season is set for 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 21.
Tryouts will be held in Farmer's Branch.
