I have to laugh!
35 years ago, the cities got together and moved the major airport 30 miles out in the country, away from all built up regions.
Now, decades later and many thousands of houses built under the flight paths, the "natives" are rebelling. Do you suggest the airport be moved one more time? The largest airport in the world? Or should we sue several thousand real estate agencies for "hiding" the fact that there was an airport nearby.
Sorry, but no sympathy for anyone near DFW that doesn't like the noise. If you start restricting operations at DFW you will impact the North Texas economy and possibly affect safety. When non-aviators start restricting aviation, safety is always compromised.

Support for Chris Putnam
We are writing in support of Chris Putnam who is running for Colleyville City Council Place 3. Chris was the architect of the initiative for GCISD to open a transfer policy to students living in Colleyville but attending schools in other districts because of odd district boundaries. He also organized the parent group to convince GCISD to allow our children to finally be a part of the larger Colleyville community, and took our case directly to the Board of Trustees personally. It took two years, but last year the policy was approved. Since last spring, most families in Clairemont, Remington Park, Whittier Heights, Westmont and other impacted neighborhoods have taken advantage of the transfer policy.
GCISD benefited by higher student enrollment, and my family benefited by allowing our children the choice to attend the schools in the city where they live, play sports and do other activities. Property values in our area increased immediately after the transfer policy was approved.
Chris is a serious leader, as proven in both his successful business and the community, and knows how to motivate people to a common cause. He and his wife, Amy, care deeply about Colleyville, and will ensure that we protect our unique semi-rural culture and character while the city continues to grow and is impacted by the growth around us. Chris has proven that he will put Colleyville residents first, and will not allow politics to get in the way of common sense solutions that better our community.
