Multitasking must be the key to being a member of the Southlake Newcomers Club because along with their own holiday commitments, they are hard at work on their upcoming fundraiser: “Visions of Vegas — Playing for Others.”
Slated for March 29at the Marriott Solana located at 5 Village Circle in Westlake, this Casino Night of fun should be an absolute “four aces” of fun. The time has yet to be announced but I would bet (get the pun) that it will begin around 6 p.m.
Also, ticket outlets are still being finalized. However, I have heard that the price should be $75 per person and $90 for the VIP treatment.
Considering the success and fun that this event has been in the past, make sure that your 2014 calendar has this date blocked.
Looking for that last minute holiday gift? I have said it before and I will say it again, nothing looks better under a tree than the gift of honoring a friend or family member by helping someone less fortunate in his or her name.
Consider a gift to GRACE, one of our communities most diverse charity organizations. From food to transitional housing and emergency assistance to children’s programs, plus what seems to be everything else in between, this organization uses its resources to help those in need bridge across some of the most troubling waters around.
I cannot begin to tell you all the many ways this organization that is made up of outstanding volunteers makes so many lives better. Honestly, you need to visit its website at www.gracegrapevine.org just to scratch the surface.
Plus, donating is so easy. Just hit the “Donate Now” orange button and not only will that take you to where you can help but you can also designate which program you want to make a difference in as well. And all faster than you can say Ho Ho Ho!
