Applications are being accepted for several committees, commissions and boards whose members will help determine the city’s future.

“Citizens who serve on a city board or commission help shape this city, impacting what we do and how we do it,” said Mayor David Kelly. “These citizens provide a vital connection to the community at large, serving as an important facet in ensuring that local government stays in tune with the community.”

City Secretary Amy Shelley said there are 28 openings for eight groups. Residents can apply for more than one position. Applications are available on the city’s website and can be emailed to Shelley. The application process is open until Nov. 26.

The City Council will interview all applicants before making appointments.

Openings are available for the Architectural Review Commission, Colleyville Center Advisory Committee, Events Steering Committee, Colleyville Sidewalks Committee, Historical Preservation Committee, Colleyville Library Board, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and Traffic Safety Advisory Committee.
