Here is a chance to enjoy an amazing event at Trophy Club Country Club. And if you are not a member, the wonderful folks over there would like you to join them so they can show off their exciting home.
On Saturday, Trophy Club Country Club, 500 Trophy Club Drive, is hosting a divine Wine Dinner. This isn’t just one of those “come on over for a few glasses of wine” type of events. No, this event pairs five glasses of wine with a four course dinner that will have your taste buds sending you thank you notes for a year.
The wines are from the Simi Winery located in Sonoma County, Calif., where their wines have been continuously made in the same stone cellar since 1876.
Cocktails begin at 6 p.m. where you will receive a glass of Simi Chardonnay when you walk in the door. Dinner is at 7 p.m., where you will enjoy a glass of glass of Simi dry rose with your first course — a luscious roasted corn and Poblano soup.
Never miss a local story.
The second course will be a crispy Berkshire pork belly with ginger jalapeno and orange sauce paired with a glass Simi Pinot Noir.
Third course brings on a venison loin stuffed with Camembert cheese, green apples and caramelized red onion served on a fava bean puree paired with the Simi Landslide Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley.
Finishing off this luscious palette of gems is a mango-mousse paired with a Simi Sauvignon Blanc.
Chris Teague with Constellation Brands Inc., will be the host and will speak about all of the wines and the history of Simi Winery.
The entire experience is only $80 per person (plus 20 percent gratuity and tax). Major credit cards are accepted.
Seating is very limited, so don’t delay to call Trophy Club Country Club at 817-837-1900 now and reserve your spot. Reservations must be made by noon Friday.
