The American lifestyle brand Fossil announced the winners of its global watch tin design contest last week, and Jessie Ayers of Haltom City was among them.

The winners will receive a cash prize and along with the other 30 finalists will have their designs produced into tins to be displayed at Fossil stores and events throughout the year. Fossil held the contest, which had a theme of “On the Open Road,” as part of a year’s worth of activities celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Fossil received nearly 800 entries, according to a news release, and after the top 30 were chosen, fans voted for their favorite design through Fossil’s microsite www.fossiltincontest.com.

A grand-prize winner, two first-place winners and two second-place winners were chosen based on creativity, originality, representation of Fossil’s modern-vintage style and public appeal.

As a second-place winner, Ayers will receive $1,000.
