Police appealed for help Tuesday finding a hit-and-run driver who ran over a motorcyclist on a service road and then fled the scene this past weekend.
Witnesses told police the car dragged the motorcyclist and his motorcycle several feet Saturday afternoon on a Texas 121 service road near Harwood Road.
The 22-year-old motorcyclist survived, but he suffered serious injuries, police said.
Police are searching for a dark four-door Hyundai, possibly a 2006 to 2010 Hyundai Elantra.
The accident occurred about 4:45 p.m. Saturday on a northbound service road of Texas 121 near Harwood Road.
The motorcyclist was traveling north on the highway when he exited at Harwood Road, police said. He was on the northbound service road when his motorcycle was hit from behind by the Hyundai, police said.
After impact, the Hyundai drove over the victim and the motorcycle, dragging him a short distance before the man was able to get free, police said. Witnesses told police the motorist never stopped.
The motorcyclist was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
