Police are looking for the driver of a car who might be able to shed light on how a skateboarder was seriously injured July 25.
The 20-year-old was recently released from the hospital, according to police. At first, police were not sure whether he was injured in a fall or struck by a vehicle.
Police now say the young man was hit by an unidentified vehicle and have a picture of a vehicle that was nearby at the time. The skateboarder was struck about 10:40 p.m. July 25 in the 700 block of East Pipeline Road.
Investigators obtained video from a nearby business and are trying to contact the owner or driver to see if they witnessed or were involved in the crash, police said. The vehicle appears to be a light-color four-door with dark trim along the sides.
