Police are looking for a possible hit-and-run driver who struck a skateboarder around 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
Investigators are trying to determine if the skateboarder was struck by a vehicle or injured in a fall, according to a news release from the Hurst Police Department.
Police and medical professionals were alerted to an injured person call in the 700 block of East Pipeline Road and saw a 20-year-old man lying on the sidewalk with multiple injuries.
Due to his injuries the man has not been able to communicate with first responders or investigators. The man was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.
An initial investigation indicated that the man was likely struck by a vehicle, possibly a pickup truck, the release said.
